Privacy Policy

Reveal Dating, registered in England and Wales, is the controller of the personal data processed through the Reveal app and website (revealapp.org). Contact: Revealdating123@gmail.com.

• Account data: email address, password hash, date of birth (to verify 18+), and authentication identifiers.
• Profile data: name or alias, photos, gender, interests, prompts and answers you provide.
• Sensitive data: information you choose to share in profile prompts, chats, or answers may reveal sexual orientation, religion, health or political views. We process this only with your explicit consent (UK/EU GDPR Art. 9).
• Approximate location: coarse location derived from your device, used to find nearby matches. Precise GPS coordinates are never shared with other users.
• Usage and device data: app interactions, match decisions, device model, OS, IP address, crash and diagnostic logs.
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe and, on iOS, Apple). We receive transaction status and the last four digits of the card — never the full card number.
• Communications: messages exchanged on the platform and support requests you send us.

• Provide the Service (matching, chat, reveals) — performance of a contract.
• Verify age and prevent fraud or abuse — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
• Process payments and subscriptions — performance of a contract.
• Send transactional emails (security alerts, billing) — performance of a contract.
• Send marketing emails — only with your consent; you can withdraw at any time.
• Process sensitive profile information — only with your explicit consent, given when you choose to share it.
• Improve the Service and analytics — legitimate interests, using aggregated or pseudonymised data.
• Comply with law (e.g. responding to lawful requests, the UK Online Safety Act 2023, the EU Digital Services Act) — legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with processors who act on our instructions:

• Hosting & database: Supabase and Cloudflare (data hosted in the EU/UK where available).
• Payments: Stripe; Apple (for iOS in-app purchases).
• Email delivery: our transactional email provider (notify.revealapp.org).
• Analytics & crash reporting: aggregated or pseudonymised only.
• Law enforcement or regulators where legally required, and other users (only the profile information you have chosen to make visible).

Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision, and apply additional safeguards where appropriate.

• Active accounts: for as long as the account exists.
• Deleted accounts: profile and message content are deleted within 30 days; minimal records (e.g. payment receipts, abuse reports) may be retained where required by law.
• Backups: may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten.

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these, email Revealdating123@gmail.com or use the in-app settings to update or delete your account.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password and report suspected breaches to Revealdating123@gmail.com.

Reveal is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will delete any such account on discovery.

We use cookies and local storage strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your in-app preferences. We will ask for consent before setting any non-essential analytics or marketing cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
